AudVidder is a multi-format audio and video converter. It is an app made by an independent programmer, so you will probably notice that the user interface is a bit different from what you are used to see in converters and rippers, and that is a good thing. Not only does this application convert your files to different audio and video formats, but it can also be used to split or join video and audio files, and to extract the audio off video files.
The user interface has quite a lot of buttons, fields and options. This can be either a good or a bad thing. It depends on the way you look at it. At first, I was a bit overwhelmed, but I then realized that pretty much everything I need for a conversion job is within a click's reach. One thing that I don't like is that the application doesn't automatically adjust its size to your screen's size. When it first opens, it looks huge. Also, when I first used the app, it was configured to convert only a part of the video. This can be changed in the 'Select Convert Option' field. My videos were not fully converted until I realized this option was on.
In terms of performance, the application really works well. The only problem I had was when converting an MKV file into the iPad high quality profile. The audio skipped a little. Then I realized that I had the "partial" option selected. When I chose to convert the whole video, the skipping went away.
